5 Tips for a Productive Week

Productivity is a word we all hear and wish we were more of.

Productivity is a measure of economic performance that compares the amount of goods and services produced (output) with the amount of inputs used to produce those goods and services.

The first and easiest thing to do to be more productive is to start with a morning routine. Your morning routine can make a difference in your entire day.  The best morning routine promotes both wellness and productivity for your entire day.

  1. Get a good night’s sleep
  2. Avoid the snooze button
  3. Give yourself enough time to get to work
  4. Drink a full glass of water
  5. Prioritize important tasks
  6. Enjoy a cup of coffee or tea
  7. Prepare a healthy breakfast
  8. Take advantage of self-care
  9. Fit in a quick workout
  10. Say positive affirmations
  11. Meditate by taking deep breaths

Color code your calendar:

If you color code your calendar per category, you can see where you are wasting time or where you are doing too much of something.  The point is to find balance.    For example, personal items could be in Red, Meetings in Blue,  Money making activities in Green.

Set Boundaries

Set boundaries by learning to say no.  Unless you really want to say you, and it is a strong yes, don’t be guilted into saying you.  Remember, when you say yes to something you would rather not you are saying no to something you would rather say yes to.   You have a choice.  Be kind and say no but make sure it is a firm no.

Power of Positivity

This is a perfect way to start the day is with affirmations.  If you regularly fail to make this a habit, take the time to write out your affirmation and leave it on your steering wheel. Find a way to stay positive.   Every negative thought, jump right over and counter that with at least one positive.

Celebrate the wins

Celebrate every single little win.  It could be that you said no to something you would have said no to previously or you didn’t hit the snooze button for the first time.
